What it's like to work here

Beyond the visitor areas we have an extensive (and valuable) land-holding that bridges rural Cheshire and urban Manchester, which is key to what the 'Future Dunham' programme will deliver.

You will work alongside Dunham's General Manager, who leads an experienced senior team at the property. You will be the senior project manager working with our internal subject experts and also lead our externally appointed team of professionals.

You will lead engagement with local partners, supporters, and the community to inform and influence 'Future Dunham'.

You will be working in a well-established project management culture and continue your development with a range of opportunities to enhance your existing skills.

What you'll be doing

You will be:

  • Creating and advocating for a compelling vision for Future Dunham, in close collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Leading and formulating decision-making with your team who are delivering the programme and the related Future Dunham projects, through their project lifecycle (through direct and matrix line-management).
  • Continuous influencing, engagement, and communication with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively involved in our regional and national project manager community.

Who we're looking for

You will demonstrate (CV and covering letter) tangible experience of:

  • Team leadership, creating and gaining buy-in from organisations.
  • Delivering complex, project and programme management, with total, £multi-million pound budgets.
  • Instigating new/innovative ways of working, which is part of the Future Dunham remit.
  • Successful delivery of desired outputs and outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills that develop relationships, including advocating at senior levels in the organisation.
  • Recognised project/programme management qualifications and ongoing professional development.
  • Additionally, you will demonstrate how you will work within the values of the cultural heritage/charitable sector.
  • A recognised project (ChPP/APM PPQ or PMQ) or programme management (MSP) qualification
