We are currently looking to hire an experienced Industrial Relations Manager to join our infrastructure team based in Sellafield working on our KDP8 Framework.

The Industrial Relations Manager Role:

You will play a pivotal role in the management of Industrial Relations across our Sellafield KDP8 Framework, facilitating a harmonious and productive relationship with our workforce, and stakeholders. The role involves a range of responsibilities intended to create a positive environment in which to maintain good industrial relations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Dispute Management and Conflict Resolution
  • Compliance
  • Local Labour Negotiations
  • Policy Implementation
  • Communication and Engagement
  • Training and Development
  • Workplace Investigation

Your profile

As Industrial Relations Manager you will be visible and approachable to all employees; your door is always open. You will be a good communicator who enjoys direct engagement with colleagues at all levels, and comfortable having difficult conversations.

  • You will have worked on complex large scale construction projects and have a good understanding of construction activities, trades, roles and terminology.
  • You will have a good working knowledge of UK employment law, and you will be familiar with collective agreement: Construction Industry Joint Council Working Rule Agreement.
  • You will hold a HR/Management and leadership qualification and will be able to demonstrate experience of people management in a construction environment.
  • Membership of a role related Professional Body, such as CIPD or CMI will be expected.
