Your new company
We are very proud to be working with this business on an exclusive basis, so you won't see this job anywhere else! As a company with almost 50 years of history and £6million in contracted orders on the books, it's great to see them about to embark on the next phase of growth that will take them into the big leagues. It's always a pleasure to recruit when a team needs to grow because they have too much work on and that's why this co-ordinator is a very important new role in the business.
Your new role
Your job will be to co-ordinate the delivery and installation of equipment with clients, so you'll be a central point of information for project managers, subcontractors, clients and other departments in the business. Every day will be different because every job is different and there's always new things to take into account, navigate and resolve. You'll track jobs, parts, labour and deadlines using Excel spreadsheets, so you'll need to be confident with Excel to search and find information but you don't need to use formula or macros. Throughout the process, you'll be booking 3rd parties for work and delivery, ordering parts, booking people to jobs and supporting the project managers with anything else they need. There's every possibility that you will quickly become one of the most popular people in the business because everyone needs your expertise, help and support!
What you'll need to succeed
This is a job that requires great communication skills both in writing and over the phone and you'll need to adapt your style to suit your contact (whether they are a colleague, supplier or customer). You'll be a brilliant problem solver and able to juggle lots of different balls in the air at the same time. Of course, there are deadlines but that won't be something that fazes you, in fact, it might even motivate you!
Previous experience in a busy, office-based, customer support role is essential, as is familiarity with Excel spreadsheets.
What you'll get in return
This is a job with a good salary package that rewards your experience. There are 25 days holiday with 3 saved for Xmas so you'll never have to negotiate Christmas off again!
There's variety so you'll never be bored, the company is in growth so you've got options for your own development and career growth and the business has a strong track record of stability even in times of economic recession, so you've got job security.
