Sustainability Manager
£70-80,000 plus package (30 days holiday plus bank holidays, car allowance and more)

Responsibilities will include:
Develop the sustainability and climate strategy
Develop and implement green finance strategy, aligned to Group and the Bank's objectives
Ensure they continue to comply or exceed increasing regulation on climate change
Works with Commercial colleagues to ensure alignment of activities with decarbonisation targets and the transition plan
Lead the Sustainability Subcommittee, driving the agenda, creating meeting packs and ensuring the effectiveness of the forum
Coordinate reporting to the group, providing qualitative and quantitative data directly or through collaboration with other teams
Contribute to developing their external position on climate; engaging relevant internal and external stakeholders
Lead the Charity committee, helping to direct and engage local charities and create colleague engagement within the business
Lead the Green Ambassadors, supporting them to advocate for the environment and deliver suitable initiatives across the business
Work with Responsible Banking and Group to manage the risk of Greenwashing, ensuring the appropriate teams such as Marketing have the related skills and training
Work across multifunction's using collaboration and own interpretation to instil change
Periodically reporting to ExCo and ESG Leadership group
Be the expert on ESG and Sustainability using market trends, risk and opportunity analysis
Fully understand the EV landscape both current and projected over the next 2 - 5 years
Lead and influence the project on EV home charging using technical expertise
Using previous experience collaborate with the business to plan our sustainability strategy with EV over the next 2 - 5 years
Skills and experience
Expertise in ESG and in particular, specific application to financial services
Sustainability/ESG Frameworks and Strategies (UN Sustainable Development Goals, carbon neutral roadmaps)
Environment and Social Risk Management (Equator Principles, EIAs, climate change risks & opportunities)
Sustainability and Carbon Reporting (GRI Standards, TCFD, CDP, GHG protocol, CSRD)
General knowledge of Financial Services industry and macroeconomic and regulatory drivers
Expertise in green finance and green products, with an understanding of the market and the ability to benchmark against peers
General understanding of scenario modelling and how this could be applied to our portfolio and used to develop a holistic climate strategy
Strong strategic and analytical skills including in relation to climate: strategy design, tracking of project implementation and performance
Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders at all levels
Ability to identify current trends in internal and external factors and has a view on the likely future state including resultant impact on the company
