Role: Area Sales Manager / Business Development Manager
Location: Sheffield
Salary: 40- 50k with car allowance and OTE 60- 70k
We are working with an exciting client that is looking to strengthen their presence in the Sheffield area. Whilst experience in the industry will be beneficial, we are looking for the right person that is hungry to succeed, wants a career path and wants to work inside and outside the branch.
Key to the right candidate will be experience in cold calling over the telephone and face to face, account management of accounts of all sizes and above that, we want candidates that are really hungry to win. and this needs to be evident in conversations and interview.
Main Tasks
Revenue:
- Achieve revenue and activity targets within the allocated area.
- Forecast and grow customer account activity and revenue; analyzing market trends, customer behavior, and historical data to project future revenue growth and develop strategies to increase customer account activity and revenue.
- Source and onboard new customer accounts; actively seeking out potential customers, establish new business relationships, and onboard them as new accounts.
Account Management:
- Manage client relationships and act as the main point of contact for clients.
- Nurturing and maintaining strong relationships with them; including regular communication.
- Act as first-line problem resolution; handle issues or concerns raised by clients, be the initial point of contact.
- Assist the accounts team with invoice query resolution and cash collection.
- Support the accounts team by helping resolve any invoice related queries and ensuring timely collection.
Systems and Processes:
- Raise and chase quotes in line with business processes and procedures.
- Responsibility for generating and following up on price quotes.
- Agree and build pricing schedules in the system; work with relevant stakeholders to determine pricing.
- Ensure accurate system and process compliance (quotes, orders, CRM)
Requirements and Experience
- Full driving licence
- Electrical and Mechanical wholesale experience would be advantageous.
- Proven track record in achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.
- Excellent account management and client relationship-building skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing client issues.
- Familiarity with sales systems and processes, including quoting, order management, and CRM tools.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and support various business functions.
- Experience in supporting marketing initiatives and participating in industry events is a plus.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
