The role
In this role you will support Project Managers, and Support/lead on projects yourself to manage all aspects of project delivery across the full lifecycle, from business case, through initiation and implementation to benefits realisation, helping ensure the project delivers to time, cost and quality tolerances, standards and reporting requirements.

What you'll do
• Support/Lead on projects/ workstreams within projects commensurate with skills, knowledge and experience, operating in line with the Force's standard approach to programme management, capturing, analysing and documenting project information, risk and issue management and comms and engagement to support effective delivery of projects.• Deputising on behalf of Change Project Manager as required, to ensure projects continue to deliver as per project plan, escalating issues to Business Change Programme Manager where applicable. This includes all aspects of resourcing.• Support Change Project Managers, and deputise where appropriate, in the design and maintenance of all project documentation to encourage workforce engagement, manage change and deliver sustainable improvement.• Monitor quality/business assurance measures, including cost/ benefit analysis, post implementation review, standards and procedures, in order to ensure projects, systems and services meet the needs of the Force.• Assist Change Project Managers to undertake process reviews and facilitate key meetings and improvement workshops to map and critically evaluate services, processes and the application of technology to improve service delivery.• Make recommendations to process improvements/system enhancements, considering impact on the wider business, amending and developing policy, procedure and Standard Operating Procedures in support. Ensure those impacted are appropriately informed/trained and equality impacts considered.

What you'll bring
• Prince 2 practitioner or equivalent or working towards
• Experience working within project teams to achieve defined outcomes and operating in a matrix management environment
• Understanding of project planning and delivery, including monitoring and evaluation, and working to targets
• Experience planning project tasks and identifying and allocating resources to tasks ensuring key milestones are achieved within time, cost and quality tolerances
• Experience in designing and modifying processes or systems to deliver improvements to business processes
• Strong teamworking skills and ability to work collectively to deliver project objectives
