The Opportunity
A well-established residential developer is looking for an experienced Freelance Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of large-scale housing developments (250+ units) across Kent, with sites located between Herne Bay and Dartford. Projects include a mix of traditional and timber frame builds.
This is an excellent opportunity for a freelance ASM looking for long-term work with a busy, respected housebuilder.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Site Manager in coordinating site operations and subcontractors.
Ensure projects remain on programme, budget, and meet quality standards.
Supervise trades and site teams, ensuring health & safety compliance.
Assist with logistics, materials management, and programme schedules.
Ensure work meets NHBC standards and building regulations.
Report progress and site issues to senior management.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager in residential construction.
Experience delivering large-scale housing developments (250+ units).
Strong understanding of both traditional and timber frame build methods.
SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
Able to work independently and efficiently manage subcontractors.
