Our client, is currently looking to engage a skilled Building Control Manager on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in overseeing building control activities and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing building control operations and ensuring adherence to building regulations
- Conducting site inspections and assessments to verify compliance with approved plans and safety standards
- Reviewing and approving plans, specifications, and other pertinent documentation
- Liaising with architects, contractors, and developers to provide guidance on regulatory requirements
- Overseeing the issuance of building control notices and completion certificates
- Implementing quality control measures and continuous improvement practices
- Investigating and resolving any issues or non-compliance incidents effectively
- Maintaining accurate records and reports related to building control activities
Job Requirements:
- Strong experience in building control
- In-depth understanding of building regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Ability to conduct thorough site assessments and inspections
- Effective communication skills with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders
- Proficiency in reviewing and interpreting technical plans and documentation
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Relevant qualifications in building control or a related discipline
