My client is a large residential property services provider, operating nationally through a network of regional offices and home based property managers.
Within their Building Surveying team, an opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor, Graduate Building Surveyor (APC) or Chartered Building Surveyor (RICS or CIOB) to undertake a project focused role specialising in:
Residential Block inspections for the purpose of identifying defects and maintenance requirements.
Project management of major projects including remediation works identified in EWS1 assessments up to £5m value.
Writing Specifications and Tenders
Preparation of building insurance reinstatement cost assessments.
Condition surveys and defect diagnosis.
Licence for Alterations.
Handover inspections from new build, working with developers to identify snagging issues
Fire risk assessments, managing any remedial works relating to cladding etc.
Major works project management
Contractor oversight
The suitable Building Surveyor, Graduate Building Surveyor (APC) or Chartered Building Surveyor (RICS or CIOB) will have 2 years experience (or more) and a background in residential project work. Whilst professional qualification is desirable, it isn t essential and our client will support those Building Surveyors keen to obtain MRICS (through the APC) or similar whilst on the job.
In terms of location, our client has a large number of projects planned and ongoing across London and the South East, so residing within the M25 would be ideal for site visits.
