£40K + Commission structure. Hybrid working (2-3 days in the office), 25 Days Holiday + BH, Flexibility, Days off in lieu if working the weekend on site, Birthday Day off, Company pension, Xmas shut down & Free on-site parking.

Business Development Manager Exhibitions Role Overview:

This position requires a proactive approach, including frequent client meetings (in-person or virtual) and potential travel.

Business Development Manager Exhibitions Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Build a pipeline of new business opportunities within targeted industry sectors.
  • Develop trusted relationships with decision-makers in the event and exhibition space.
  • Understand client business and corporate objectives to tailor solutions effectively.
  • Secure and deliver credential meetings, leveraging the company's value proposition.
  • Capture and maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
  • Produce weekly sales reports for presentation to the Director(s).

Business Development Manager Exhibitions Key Skills:

  • Drive, motivation, and acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and creatively respond to customer needs.
  • Proven experience in client/sales with knowledge of the meetings and events industry.
  • Leadership skills, setting direction, fostering teamwork, and achieving results.
  • Strong negotiation skills and a commercial perspective on proposals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including public speaking and RFP writing.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
