This CAD Engineer will report to the IM and CAD Manager and will work within UKPN Services based in our London - Elephant & Castle office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of 48,326 plus inner London allowance and a bonus of 3%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote.

Job Purpose:
You will undertake and deliver CAD design drawings, ensuring full compliance with UKPN Services and client standards.
Although initially working with the Civil team you will gain further skills to work on any future projects within UKPN Services.
Dimensions:
No direct reports or financial budget.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Produce design drawings to enable construction works to be delivered safely.
- Liaise with the delivery team and client to ensure project delivery.
- Maintain Network records and respond to third-party queries promptly.
- Ensure compliance with CDM and UK Power Networks Health and Safety policies.
- Compliance with UK Power Networks quality policies.
- Operate and update Asset database in respect of project activities.
- Ensure the compliance with the distribution safety rules during all activities.
- Strong communication skills required at departmental, site & client level.
- You will manage and prioritise a varied work load.
Main Duties:
- Deliver CAD drawings to meet all project deadlines.
- Provide technical support as part of the team to deliver all planned works in addition to all Operations and Maintenance delivery requirements.
- Attend and contribute to team briefings, give feed-back.
- Identify potential project risks/opportunities (raise awareness within team / company).
- Seek continuous improvement.
- You may work additional hours to meet project requirements.
- Liaise within the project team and communicate with external parties.
Qualifications:
- An experienced CAD Engineer, preferably with experience of AutoCAD / AutoCAD civil and MicroStation.
- Experience operating within a utilities environment an advantage.
- Electrical networks experience.
- Fundamental knowledge of all MS Office packages essential.
- Important tasks in the role include CAD layouts, coordinates, schematics, general assemblies, details, civil construction, and data collation.
- All design work is undertaken together with other utilities, gas, water, sewer
- Knowledge of NETMAP an advantage.
- Must have a driving licence.
- Medical, Drugs and Alcohol screening.
