Transforming an existing property into a state-of-the-art care home, Kelvinside Manor is set to open in September 2024, blending modern facilities with the charm and character of the local area. Kelvinside Manor is a Privately Funded Care Home.

Designed to provide outstanding care and support, the home will feature the latest care technology and design, offering a comfortable and dynamic environment for residents and Meallmore colleagues.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Home Manager to lead the establishment and operation of Kelvinside Manor. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of our care services within the home and offers a unique opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking project from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:

• Lead the commissioning of Kelvinside Manor, overseeing the project through to completion alongside our project team.

• Develop and implement strategies to ensure the home reaches full occupancy while delivering high-quality care.

• Operational Excellence:

• Manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and excellence in resident care.

• Oversee financial management, including budgeting and resource allocation.

• Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, recruit, train and mentor a high-calibre team

• Promote and role model a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

• Build strong relationships with local health and social care professionals and community organisations.

• Collaborate with the marketing team on promotional activities, including campaign development and public relations.

• Resident-Centric Approach:

• Ensure the delivery of personalised, resident-centred care.

• Foster an environment that enhances the residents' quality of life, respecting their dignity and independence.

Qualifications:

• Relevant nursing qualification with active registration (RNMH, RNLD, RN adult) or equivalent experience in care management.

• Proven track record in a management role within a care home setting, focusing on mental health or elderly care.

• Experience in commissioning and leading new services.

• Strong financial and operational management skills.

• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
