My client, a prominent player in the meat processing industry, is seeking a switched on, well organised Category Manager to join their management team.
As Category Manager you will work closely with managers from all sections of the supply chain and focus your efforts on streamlining business processes, improving efficiency, monitoring inventory levels and cutting costs.
The commercial aspect of this position will include market analysis, identifying growth opportunities and liaising with suppliers.
Reporting directly to the head of the division, your work will play a crucial part in setting the direction of the business and informing strategies for growth and improvement.
The role:
- Work closely with different departments to ensure supply chain runs smoothly
- Market analysis
- Work with relevant departments to create and implement strategies
- Manage cross-functional projects
- Supplier performance reviews
- Cost management
- Improve efficiency within the supply chain
- Monitor inventory levels
About you:
- Relevant degree (Business administration, agriculture, supply chain management, etc)
- Background in account management, procurement, food supply chain or similar
- Commercial acumen
- Strong communication skills
- Able to travel nationally for supplier meetings
- Beef/dairy background (Desirable)
