This multibillion pound firm are seeking ambitious senior buyers to take the next step in their career as Category Manager!
Undergoing rapid expansion whilst transforming their procurement function, this firm is looking for senior buyers with either direct or indirect category experience. This firm is offering the chance for you to expand your skillset, providing training and development for you to work across a range of different categories. You will have the opportunity to manage both direct and indirect spend.
They are looking for someone with a strategic mindset and an innovative way of thinking. With proven experience of running end to end procurement processes and strategic buying, you will be given autonomy over a portfolio of spend.
Your role:
- Oversee a portfolio of suppliers to enhance contract performance and deliver additional value.
- Develop and manage comprehensive category plans, aiming to maximize value while balancing commercial risk.
- Provide category knowledge and market insights to internal stakeholders, deliver category plans, manage sourcing events, and identify risks.
- Serve as the commercial expert for the category, ensuring the firm can effectively adapt to market changes.
- Bring strategic vision and innovative thinking, aligning with both short and long-term agendas.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary: £45,000-£55,000
- Work-life balance: 2-3 days working from home, with the remaining days in the Reading office.
- 26 days holiday, increasing to 30 with length of service, plus bank holidays.
