Become part of our consumer client's international procurement function, who are responsible for sourcing all goods and services the business needs to operate.
As a Category Manager you will be responsible for leading commercial relationships with a range of suppliers who manufacture a selection of brands, working cross-functionally with the wider team and an international supply base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct supplier sourcing events
- Lead pricing and commercial negotiations for new and existing agreements
- Ensure all commercial terms are captured in robust contractual agreements.
- Provide procurement support to Quality, Technical and Operations teams in the set-up of new suppliers.
- Represent Procurement on cross-functional projects including New Product Development, Sustainability, and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Develop and maintain excellent supplier relationships.
- Responsible for resolving contract manufacturing commercial issues ensuring relevant stakeholders are consulted and informed.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- High professional proficiency in both English and French language (essential)
- Experience in Directs or Co-pack procurement (essential).
- Experience in using Category Management to develop buying strategies
- Strong commercial negotiation skills
- Experience of working in cross-functional teams with technical and non-technical functions
- Experience working in FMCG or Consumer goods organisations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Professional qualification in Procurement or Supply Chain (or working towards)
