The Advocacy Project (TAP) is a well-established charity that helps people speak up and make decisions about their health, wellbeing and social care. We make sure people across all ages and care groups can understand their rights, make effective choices about their lives and voice their concerns through a range of independent, confidential, and free services.
Together our teams are standing up for essential rights and supporting people to have a say on the issues that matter to them.

Chief Executive Officer
Salary £65-£70,000
Homeworking with scheduled travel to The Advocacy Projects services across London and to Board meetings
Full time, 37.5 hours per week

As CEO you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic vision and operational direction of TAP and provide leadership to a committed and values driven team providing high quality services that make a genuine impact on people's lives and wellbeing.
This opportunity will suit an inspiring leader and effective people manager, who enjoys encouraging a collaborative and innovative working culture and brings knowledge, experience and a passion for our work.
The successful candidate will bring:

  • Proven senior leadership experience across a range of management functions and a background in health or social care
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and enabling teams to thrive and develop .
  • The ability to develop and deliver strategy with a combined focus on operational delivery, financial sustainability, quality assurance, and organisational development.
  • Experience in leading new contract acquisition and fundraising.
  • Strong networking, ambassadorial and relationship building skills
