The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced engineer to join an expanding team in Bristol as the Civils Lead. This is a great opportunity to join the business help guide and shape the Civil Engineering department. The position will suit an ambitious Senior or Principal looking to take the step into a more managerial role.
Responsibilities
- Liaising concisely with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders, attending client meetings and site visits
- Managing the production of technical project details and reports in line with standard requirements, including drawings and calculations as applicable. Delegating as appropriate.
- Mentoring and nurturing your team of civil engineers and technicians
- Maintain exacting standards across all outputs ensuring accuracy and appropriate presentation
- Getting involved and hands-on in technical design as required
- Bachelor s Degree or Masters in Structural or Civil Engineering
- 6+ years of industry/sector experience preferable
- Chartered or nearing chartership
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering and development infrastructure
- Be sectional agreement conversant (S38 S278 etc.)
- Experience in Civils3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, Autotrack, and/or Causeway etc
- Excellent report writing and communication skills
- Be based in Bristol or willing to commute
