Responsibility for legal and commercial function across all Jumar's business lines. To protect Jumar from contractual risks with regard to client contracts, supplier terms and often complex, IT project supply chains. To work closely with compliance and People departments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and legislation.
Scope of Role:
- Reporting to Chief Operating Officer
- To manage all legal and contractual matters across IT project delivery and technical resourcing/recruitment areas of the business
- To ensure a favourable legal position for Jumar while facilitating a high level of collaboration and quality of service to Jumar's range of clients.
- To review, mark-up, negotiate (when appropriate) and finalise client and supplier contracts.
- To generate legal contracts (with support from outsourced advisors and external legal counsel) including terms/conditions, MSAs, statement of work templates, flow down terms, contractor contracts, NDA's and other similar contracting vehicles.
Main Responsibilities:
- Management and ownership for all legal and contractual matters
- Ownership of (including generation and review of ) all contract documents resolving any queries/risks prior to approval
- Ensure all terms/conditions, MSAs, NDAs, partner agreements and standard documentation are regulated reviewed and updated where necessary
- Ensure all standard legal templates/schedules are up to date and fit for purpose
- To review client/supplier documentation as required, providing support to internal stakeholders on risks, next steps and ongoing management.
- To proactively facilitate the throughput of all legal documentation within the business from receipt to execution, while maintaining a favourable position for Jumar in line with risk assessment processes.
- To support internal stakeholders so that contract approval process is managed in a collaborative manner, both internally and externally
- To manage Jumar's repository of legal documentation.
- To undertake or support, client/supplier onboarding activity in terms of compliance questionnaires/declarations etc.
- Take a supporting role in Bid Management, providing commercial support and business approval
- Actively supporting the overall business growth strategy of the Company through relevant commercial activities
- Management of Contracts Manager, and oversees all their activity including SLAs and general workload.
- Own the commercial/contractual relationship with the Office landlords for all Jumar premises
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of any industry legislation that could impact the business
- You are responsible for the quality of your deliverables in line with the ISO 9001 quality standard set by the company, as well as for the continuous improvement within your processes.
- You are responsible for the security of your physical environments where information is stored and/or processed.
- You are also responsible for the operational security of the information systems you use.
- You must comply with all information security procedures including the maintenance of data, confidentiality and data integrity.
- You are responsible for ensuring that any permanent or temporary staff/contractors that you work with or manage are aware of the quality policies applicable to their work areas; their personal responsibilities in terms of quality; and how they can seek advice on quality matters.

- All legal document is compliant with the law and Jumar's internal risk appetite.
- Any legal challenges are kept to a minimum, and dealt with swiftly
- All legal documentation is filed in an easily accessible manner
- Timely throughput of legal queries
- All legal documents are appropriately drafted, verified and monitored
- Commercial department is seen as a go-to resource and has a reputation for fairness, proactivity and provides a high level of support.
