Construction Manager

We are a civil engineering contractor with ambitious growth plans, looking for a Construction Manager / Sub-Agent to join our team and oversee our project in Barnet.

As a construction manager or sub-agent, you will be responsible for planning, managing and supervising the execution of the construction project, ensuring that it is completed on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards. You will also coordinate and direct the construction workers, subcontractors, materials and equipment, and liaise with the clients, consultants and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct the construction project from conception to completion
• Review the project scope, schedule, deliverables and costs
• Ensure compliance with building and safety regulations, contractual conditions and quality standards
• Coordinate and direct the construction workers and subcontractors
• Select, order and track the inventory of tools, materials and equipment
• Prepare and submit internal and external reports on the project status
• Plan ahead to prevent and resolve any issues or risks that may arise
• Communicate and collaborate with the clients, consultants and stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven working experience as a construction manager or in a similar role
• Relevant qualification in construction management, civil engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices
• Familiarity with construction software and tools
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Civils or groundworks experience is essential
• Rail background is desirable but not essential
• Hungry, ambitious and energetic individual
