Job Title: Contracts Manager

Location: West Midlands, West Midlands, Wolverhampton

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours Monday to Friday

Primary Industry: Construction, New Build Housing, House Building

Salary: £75000 - £85000 Per annum

Qualifications: SMSTS, NVQ Level 7, Full UK Driving Licence

An award-winning house builder is seeking an additional Contracts Manager to join their team and oversee two sites in the West Midlands.

Job Duties:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of the contracts on traditional new build housing sites
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
• Monitor and control project progress, identifying and resolving any issues that may arise
• Prepare and review contract documents, including variations and claims
• Provide regular reports to senior management on project status and performance

Required Qualifications:

• Valid SMSTS qualification
• NVQ Level 7 in Construction Management or related field
• Full UK Driving Licence

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Contracts Manager role with a house builder
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and Health & Safety standards
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Working Conditions:

• Office-based with frequent site visits and travel between project locations
• Full-time hours, with occasional evening and weekend work required to meet project deadlines
