What you'll be doing

Develop and implement robust data governance frameworks.

Lead data quality initiatives and monitor metrics.

Create and maintain comprehensive data governance documentation.

Embed a data risk framework and manage key data risks.

Collaborate with Data Owner/Steward to prioritise and ensure timely outcomes.

Ensure resource adequacy for key data domain activities.
-
Provide guidance on governance best practices.
-
Lead a cultural shift, treating data as a primary asset.

Drive changes anticipating shifts in the business's strategic direction.

Oversee recruitment, training, management, and development of staff.
-
Assist in developing strategies for data governance and compliance.

Oversee data protection compliance, including requests and incident management.
To excel in this role, you'll need to be able to demonstrate
-
Proven experience driving business change through data governance practices.

Understanding of data protection and information security legislation.

Proficiency in data quality practices, tools, and master data principles.

Familiarity with data governance principles and systems development.

Experience overseeing large data projects as a subject matter expert.

Experience in UK GDPR/Data Protection compliance.
-
Minimum degree-level education in a data-driven discipline.

Strong problem-solving ability, effective communication, motivation, resourcefulness, flexibility, and teamwork
Previous experience in social housing and a Data Management qualification would make your application stand out, but they're not essential.
