Conrad Consulting are delighted to be working with one of the UK's largest multi-disciplinary practices, seeking a Design Manager to join their growing team in Birmingham, West Midlands.
The company are seeking a Design Manager to join their renowned property and construction consultancy. This role offers the chance to work on a variety of high-quality projects across the UK, in different sectors and value ranges. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary design teams and projects nationwide, shaping the execution of Design Management on their projects. Individuals with experience leading complex projects as a Lead Designer, Architectural Project Manager, or with Main Contractor experience will also be considered.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DESIGN MANAGER:
- Plan and oversee the development of design proposals by multi-disciplinary teams
- Lead design team meetings, workshops, and presentations
- Review and approve design documents, technical submittals, and reports
- Collaborate with clients, statutory bodies, and stakeholders
- Develop Design Responsibility Matrices and Design Programmes
- Manage RFI and Change Control processes
- Promote health and safety through design
- Advocate for BIM processes and contribute to BIM workshops
- Support bidding and work-winning activities
- Meet financial objectives and manage external design consultants
- Enhance digital workflows in the design process
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Relevant industry experience in architecture or engineering
- Understanding of the RIBA Plan of Work
- Proficiency in digital tools for design management
- Experience with BIM deliverables is advantageous
- Strong leadership skills and attention to detail.
