Our client is a large main contractor and have a project based in Battersea which is a 32 storey residential tower.
They are looking for a Design Manager to join their project team to help support the team. Reporting into the Senior Design Manager; additional responsibilities will include;
- Liaising building control, NHBC and external consultants.
- Completing design compliance reports and inspections
- Participating in design meetings,
- Overseeing the appointment of subcontractors
- Managing the design for specific packages such as; dry lining, M&E, carpentry etc.
- Keeping up to date tracking docs,
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria of previous experience:
Contractor experience of at least 3 years
Knowledge of main forms of construction technologies
Using Microsoft suite of Office programmes; Inc. Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point.
Reading and accurately interpreting drawings and technical specifications.
Ensuring project team(s) understanding of drawings and design specifications.
Ability to use and navigate design package software.
