Position Overview

Apollo is seeking a driven individual to join the firm's Global Client Management Team to handle distributor onboarding and provide ongoing client service in Europe. The role will serve as regional client service lead, with team coverage spanning Apollo's Institutional & Global Wealth client-bases. The primary focus of this individual will be supporting our Global Wealth clients & sales teams directly while helping to build and oversee a broader talent bench.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Regional operational lead for Global Wealth clients, including pre-sale support, end-to-end onboarding and post-sale service

  • Serve as Europe client service lead across Global Wealth clients including management of regional client service professionals to ensure coordinated and consistent white-glove client service

  • Focus on providing on the ground client support in Europe while also maintaining strong connectivity with global team and leveraging their expertise and institutional knowledge (e.g., information sharing, best practices)

  • Partner closely with, and accountable to, Global Wealth Europe Sales team

  • Coordinate across multiple groups globally within the firm to ensure uniform, proactive, timely, professional, and accurate prospect and client interactions

Pre-Sale and Onboarding

  • Lead the pre-onboarding process in close partnership with sales professionals for Global Wealth clients including ensuring requisite connectivity is in place with respective clients and their 3rd party service providers (e.g. Allfunds, iCapital, S64, Clearstream, RBC)

  • Oversight of the coordination of Global Wealth client diligence materials, RFIs/RFPs, reporting, ad-hoc diligence requests etc. that will be fulfilled by other APO teams including the translation of such materials

  • Project management of Global Wealth client onboarding process in coordination with Global Wealth Advisor Services, including but not limited to: distribution agreements, oversight of 3rd party service providers (e.g. Allfunds, iCapital, S64, Clearstream, RBC) and coordination across numerous Apollo teams (e.g. compliance, legal, fund controllers) to execute onboarding

  • Service the operational and home office contacts at financial intermediaries and distribution partners from a pre and post sales perspective

  • Required to understand and tailor approach based on regional nuances across regulatory requirements and product structures

Post-onboarding

  • Manage subscription and redemption process and queries for perpetual funds as well as manage capital call notice follow ups for draw-down funds

  • Coordination and oversight of 3rd party service providers (e.g. Allfunds, iCapital, S64, Clearstream, RBC) to ensure client obligations are met and that cross-party processes are functioning as expected and mutual SLAs are being executed upon

  • Liaise with COO and PDI teams to ensure accurate and timely publication of NAV/valuation and recurring reporting for all funds and feeders including fact cards and pitch books

  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for information across a variety of Apollo products

Ongoing

  • Act as Europe central liaison for wealth distributors enquiries on Apollo products lifecycle, maintain 3rd party service provider relationships (e.g. Allfunds, iCapital, S64, Clearstream, RBC) and Apollo internal and external stakeholders to formulate appropriate response on a timely basis

  • Provide support to sales team members through the whole servicing lifecycle, from prospect to client

  • Support of Global Wealth Europe sales team in production and updating of business and strategy plans

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 10+ years of prior experience in an onboarding or client services role at an alternative asset management firm, investment/private bank, or 3rd Party Service Provider

  • Experience within the Global Wealth/Intermediated market is a must

  • Previous personnel management experience strongly preferred

  • Previous project management experience strongly preferred

  • Self-motivated and resourceful; able to multi-task and focus on delivering results

  • Client-centric mindset

  • Ability to operate as a team player - energetic, enthusiastic and personable

  • High quality written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Strong communicator; personable, organized, and proactive with a positive attitude

  • Strong interpersonal skills to support communication with internal and external counterparties

  • Excels in a rigorous and fast-paced team-oriented work environment
