Job Purpose:
The Director, Non-Retail Sourcing will be responsible for leading a team to drive sourcing value creation initiatives and strategic growth within our non-retail segments, including Health Systems, Specialty Providers, and Non-Acute Physician Office. This team executes and supports the sourcing and management of Generics for the non-retail channels as well as having strong focus on the Generic (Gx) Injectable category.
This is a critical role aligned with the ClarusONE strategic priorities to achieve our overall financial and non-financial goals and will be required to work cross-functionally across teams in ClarusONE including Sourcing, Finance, Member Engagement, Analytics and Technology. The role will build and maintain relationships with injectable suppliers and lead complex negotiations. The Director will work collaboratively with the Member Engagement team and relevant member contacts to ensure sourcing strategies evolve to meet the member and their respective customer needs as well as identify and support with channel specific initiatives/strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategic goals and drive execution of value creation initiatives for non-retail segments, including acute care (health systems), alternate site (medical surgical) and provider solutions (specialty) segments
- Accountable to deliver financial value to C1 members through sourcing of generic products
- Develop and strengthen relationships with Generic Injectable suppliers
- Consultation of sourcing expertise on supplier impactful decisions and C1 enterprise projects
- Leverage data and advanced analytics to identify supplier opportunities, risks, as well as make recommendations related to supplier long term partnerships
- Manage ongoing list of technology enhancements to support program goals and work across technology and business teams for prioritization and implementation
- Partner with Process Improvement to identify any necessary process changes to support strategic growth; champion and drive implementation of identified changes
- Understand and articulate critical concerns and sensitivities of supplier base to leadership team
- Manage supplier & member escalations related to sourcing activities; support the Member Engagement team to ensure C1 sourcing strategies are in line with customer needs
- Accountable for key projects, including Passport injectables
- Work cross-functionally with C1 business units to accomplish enterprise goals and objectives Listen to, leverage, promote diverse ideas, perspectives, of others across the business
- Collaborate with the Directors in the Supplier Relationship Management team, in particular in areas where suppliers cross retail / non-retail
- Manage a team of sourcing individuals with a goal to build a high-performing team to accomplish priorities and support individual growth and development of team members
Requirements:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree; preference for Finance, Economics, Business or similar
- Product sourcing experience in generic pharmaceuticals highly preferred
- Minimum of 8 years experience in sourcing, finance/business analysis or product management
- Minimum of 4 years managerial experience
- Formal training in negotiations and/or demonstrated experience
