Are you a skilled surveyor seeking a fulfilling role? Our client invites applications for a Disrepair Surveyor position within their Disrepair Team. Reporting to a supportive Disrepair Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing diverse disrepair cases across a varied housing stock.
We are looking for the ideal candidate, someone professionally qualified (RICS) or possessing extensive proven experience in the field. If you have a deep understanding of various builds and the associated challenges, coupled with experience of dealing with social housing residents and a track record in surveying different types of housing stock, we want to hear from you.
As a pivotal member of our team, you will be responsible for surveying properties, producing comprehensive reports and ensuring compliance with Building Standards and legal requirements. Knowledge of contract legislation, including The Housing Conditions Protocol and the Fitness for Human Habitation Act, is essential. Travel is a key component of this role, and a full license with access to a car is mandatory.
Working in close collaboration with our in-house legal team, you will contribute to resolving cases efficiently. This role requires the preparation of witness statements, proof of evidence, and court attendance as necessary.
Your role will encompass a variety of skills, including building and property surveying, project management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and budget management skills are crucial, as is the ability to be self-motivated and prioritize tasks effectively.
