Join Our Team as a Document Controller
Belcan Workforce Solutions is looking for a Document Controller to join our client's team, supporting a major Defence Contractor's Information Management function. This permanent role offers hybrid working, with the flexibility to be based in either London or Newbury, requiring just one day per week in the office.
Aspiring candidates must meet eligibility criteria for UK Security Clearance.
As a Document Controller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management and control of all programme documents. You'll be responsible for operating document control processes, maintaining the quality and accuracy of all documentation, and supporting project teams in the use of the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support to the Document Control Manager in managing document control processes.
- Handle the release, publishing, and tracking of documents within the EDMS, ensuring all documentation meets the highest quality standards.
- Perform quality checks on all documents for compliance with programme procedures and manage their progression through the workflow.
- Maintain and update document trackers and registers, ensuring secure and organized document storage.
- Assist the programme teams with document numbering, metadata application, and overall document control procedures.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in document control, particularly within an engineering or construction environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of EDMS systems like Viewpoint, Asite, or SharePoint being advantageous.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 and BS19650 standards is beneficial.
