Electrical Project Manager wanted for an immediate start

Location: Dorset

Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Mon - Fri

Length: Temporary ongoing, potential for up to 12 months work

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Provide specialist electrical knowledge and insight to assist with the completion of the business case for the £80m new hospital build projects
• Provide technical electrical oversight of the project
• Lead on the delivery of the multiple M&E based project simultaneously
• Complete pre-inspections to specify the works to issue to the contractors
• Monitor the contractors completing the works, ensuring they are working to the specification, on time and to the budget
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including clinical staff, ensuring constant communication throughout stages of each project
• Work with a number of departments to improve the method of procuring capital projects, ensuring cost effectiveness and value for money
• Manage the design process of all projects, in both strategic development and early planning stages, right through to handover
• Prepare specifications, tender documents and evaluation reports for the projects at hand
• Liaise with the on-site estates departments to ensure a smooth transition of the new facilities
• Create, review and uphold method statements and risk assessments

Essential requirements:

• Experience of managing Electrical Estates Projects from cradle to grave
• Understanding of HV related projects
• Ability and experience in building strong working business relationships with a variety of stakeholders
• Experience working within the Healthcare sector would be an advantage but is not essential
