Our client are currently looking for a hardworking and experienced Project Manager to join their growing team. They are a leading electrical contractor based in the Oxford area, specialising in commercial projects. Due to recent success, they are looking to expand their well-established team and add an experienced project manager.
Project Manager Position Overview
- Time served electrician with excellent technical knowledge.
- Estimating knowledge and pricing, prepare and submit competitive tender packages and quotations with values ranging from our small works department to £1m+
- Interpreting drawings and specifications, undertaking material take-off's and ordering of materials.
- Able to manager with a wide range of projects, including small works, new build and refurbishments
- Running projects from £5k to £1 million, average contact value is £150k to £500k from tender to final account.
- Maintaining excellent relations with both builders, professional teams and directly with end user clients
- Liaising with wholesalers and manufactures to ensure best value procurement
- Issuing technical approvals of plant and materials including requests for information
- Liaise with Client and Principal contractor at design and progress meetings.
- Issue and implementation of method statements and risk assessments
Project Manager Position Requirements
- Fully qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent)
- Able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
- Dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Proven leadership skills including managing, developing and motivating others to achieve their objectives
- Competent with Microsoft word, excel, project, access and power point
- Using IT software for tendering and project management
- A good communicator with an organised and methodical approach to completion of projects.
- Commercially aware with a good grasp of operating under different forms of contracts
- Must hold a valid Driver's Licence
- NICEIC qualifying manager (advantageous)

- £45,000 - £70,000
