Job Title: Engineering Manager - Supply Chain Integration
Location: Our UK Naval Ships sites including Scotstoun, Broadoak, Filton and New Malden - We also offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements
Salary: Up to £56,300 depending on qualifications and experience
What you'll be doing:
Managing and reporting the engineering, planning, procurement and operations status of the T26 Bill of Materials
On behalf of Engineering, liaise with Supply Chain, Planning and Operations to agree detailed plan of activities to deliver the full Bill of Material
Facilitating cross functional procurement package reviews and/or Supplier Reviews aligning the Engineering Bill of Materials with the Supply Chain demand and contract documents
Providing knowledge and training to BAE Supply Chain and Engineering teams on Engineering Processes, particularly around Bill of Material creation and management
Establish standard approach to BoM integrity framework / dashboard
Set out and implement process for Bill of Quantity / Advance Bill of Material requirements
Responsible for implementation of the integrated engineering / supply chain bill of material management process
Working with the Type 26 data quality team to implement and monitor applicable Bill of Material metrics and where required conduct remedial activities to ensure the integrity of the BoM and associated data
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
Extensive experience in an Engineering / Supply Chain environment, with experience in materials management
Good understanding of Engineering processes, particularly around Bill of Material creation and management to deliverable/installable level
Good knowledge of Supply Chain processes and interfaces between the business, project, partners, suppliers, and customers
Desirable:
Experience in Materials Management / Logistics Techniques, including inbound/outbound logistics, goods inwards receipt and inspection, stock management, order picking and despatching
Ability to build strong professional relationships with key stakeholders
Experience with Configuration, Product Data, Document and Product Change Management
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills at all levels, including senior management and technical
Degree qualified or equivalent experience, likely to be in a technology, engineering, science or IT related discipline. Some disciplines may require a Masters level education. Chartered Engineer, or other relevant, equivalent professional registration. Member of appropriate professional institution, ideally working towards Fellow.
