The role
Finance Manager/Financial Controller is supported by our experienced Finance Director, you will be responsible for financial reporting, client money and asset reporting, and regulatory reporting. You will utilise your financial services experience, to help shape the function and support rapid growth through processes and controls enhancement.
This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious finance professional with a start-up mentality, to develop knowledge in all areas of finance as the function grows.
Key responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
- Oversight of monthly management accounts preparation
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, cash burn analysis and KPI monitoring
- Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations
- Assist in coordinating preparation of draft audited financial statements
Client Money and Asset Reporting
- Supervision of the daily client money and custody asset reconciliations
- Assist with annual CASS audit, manage the provision of audit evidence and responses
- Participate as a member of the CASS committee
- Review and approval of payments in/out of client accounts
Regulatory Reporting
- Assist with regulatory submissions to FCA, RegData and HMRC
- Review and submission of monthly CMAR

Requirements:
- ACCA qualified accountant with previous experience in a regulated financial institution/financial services essential
- CASS exposure preferred
- Strong technical accounting and communication skills
- Understands a good control environment
- Develops innovative solutions to drive processes and control efficiency
- Team focused and collaborative in your approach to work
- Passion for learning and sharing knowledge
