Job Title: Fire Stopping Contracts Manager - Passive Fire Protection Works

Location: Wakefield (Hybrid Working) with Nationwide Travel (predominantly across the North of England)

Salary: 52,000 - 58,000 + Company Car + Hybrid Working

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Fire Stopping Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of fire stopping and passive fire protection solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects nationwide, ranging from 100k to 5 million. These include offices, educational buildings, security in the retail and high-end residential developments.

Key Requirements:

• NVQ in Passive Fire Protection (or equivalent)
• 5 years + experience as a Fire Stopping Contracts Manager alongside Tier 1 & 2 Main Contractors
• Strong all-round knowledge of passive fire systems
• Ideally a Fire Stopping Accreditation

Responsibilities:

• Report to senior management on project progress and performance
• Develop and update project programmes and schedules
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
• Oversee labour allocation and subcontractor management
• Assist with procurement of materials and subcontract services
• Maintain live project trackers and documentation systems
• Ensure site packs are complete and compliant with H&S standards
• Set up and manage project sites in line with safety and legal requirements
• Chair and attend project meetings with clients and teams
• Manage fire stopping works from mobilisation to completion
• Prepare and implement RAMS specific to fire stopping
• Supervise subcontractors and monitor on-site quality
• Control and approve project variations with clients and subs
• Collaborate with design teams and attend site design meetings
• Deliver project KPIs across safety, quality, cost, and time
• Identify and apply value engineering opportunities
• Track and control project budgets and financials
• Oversee quality assurance and snagging processes
• Sign off works and snag lists with clients and contractors
• Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and third-party accreditations (e.g. FIRAS)
