WHAT YOU'LL DO
This amazing new opportunity is for an experienced Compliance professional to join the Global Compliance team at BCG.

The Global Compliance team provides support, guidance and oversight on critical compliance topics that anchor how BCG employees support each other, their clients, and the business - with policies, processes, and systems which BCG continuously improve. The team develops and implements smart capabilities, toolkits, frameworks, and training to empower BCG employees to act in accordance with the values and code of conduct, and to promote adherence to laws, regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures.

As a compliance team member, you will work across BCG teams and functions to support our business growth strategy, provide counsel and expertise, drive compliance innovation, and leverage the power of new ways of working.

In this role you will make sure that there are effective compliance controls and procedures, relevant to a global professional services organization in place, with a focus on client and personal conflicts of interest, organizational conflicts of interest, digital assets conflicts of interest, insider trading, outside business activities and external secondments. (Prior experience in all areas not required, but substantive experience in some areas preferred.)
  • Develop a robust understanding of BCG's business model as well as functional and technical subject matter specific knowledge, through
    • Supporting a review of client conflicts of interest queries that come into Conflict Clearance
    • Providing specialist advice on queries relating to BCG's Insider Trading policy, outside business interests and external secondments
  • Be consulted on and support the creation and maintenance of relevant policies and consequences management processes.
  • Oversee compliance with applicable legislative requirements in partnership with our Legal function and proactively horizon scanning compliance risks associated with said requirements.
  • Assist in driving risk mitigation efforts, including supporting change management programs (e.g.; policy updates, compliance tool enhancements and implementations).
  • Partnering with stakeholders within Global Risk, Global and Regional Compliance and Legal:
    • Prepare clear and concise communications, including training materials and updates to the leadership, serve as a central point of contact for resources and materials, knowledge aggregation.
    • Support k with the delivery of education, training, and awareness programs relating to compliance risks associated with the relevant subject matter expertise.
    • Build and contribute to broader awareness and understanding of the types of conflicts of interest that can arise in a professional service firm.
    • Manage the timely preparation of reports, trend analyses, and detailed presentations for Boards, Committees and Leadership.
    • Identify and develop key performance and risk indicators for monitoring and trend analysis of conflicts of interest and insider trading.
    • Drive adoption of compliance controls and procedures.
  • Work with Product Owner and Product Squad on priorities to develop / test / deploy automation using agile principles.
  • Perform other duties as they arise based upon changing business priorities.

YOU'RE GOOD AT
  • Superior analytical skills and creative problem- solving ability, with an appreciation for striking a practical balance between business and compliance objectives.
  • Independently spotting issues, managing complex compliance matters with a diverse and global set of stakeholders.
  • Developing skill sets and areas of expertise with the ability to comprehend complex sets of international regulations and interpret these within the context of BCG's existing policies and frameworks.
  • Driving change efforts, demonstrated experience in project management.
  • Ability to make risk-based decisions, using sound judgement to escalate appropriately.
  • Confidence engaging with cross functional stakeholders at all levels and across geographies.
  • Ability to develop working methods independently as well as in a consensus-driven environment.
  • High integrity, flexibility, willingness, and sense of ownership.
  • Fluent business English (spoken and written); additional languages desirable.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
  • An academic degree in a relevant discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a fast- paced, intellectually intense environment
  • Proven ability to work effectively on a distributed team delivering on high priority initiatives.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, communication in all forms, including story boarding and slide writing, with strong Power point capabilities.
  • Organizing and prioritizing work across a broad range of topics, working effectively with ambiguity and competing priorities and constraints.
  • Taking initiative and working independently with little oversight, while bolstering a collaborative team culture.
  • Maintaining a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.

YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will be part of the Global Compliance team reporting to the Global Compliance Senior Director as part of the wider Risk team.
