Governance and Information Manager

We are looking for self-motivated and organised Governance and Information Manager to join the team in this part-time, hybrid working role.

Position: Governance and Information Manager

Location: Hove/hybrid

Salary: £22,500 per annum (pro rata of FTE of £37,500 pa)

Hours: 21 hours per week, with the option to work these flexibly through the week

Contract: Permanent

Benefits: 0.6 pro-rata entitlement of 28 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays and 2 privilege days per year, flexi-time, free parking, the ride to work scheme, and the Diocesan Pension Scheme with 15.1% employer contribution.

About the Role

We are looking for a part time Governance and Information Manager to lead and manage the work of the Governance Team, provide executive level support to the Diocesan Secretary (effectively the CEO of the Diocesan Board of Finance) and join the management team.

Working closely with the Diocesan Secretary and leading the small Governance Team, your main duties will include:

  • Enabling the efficient operation of the Church House team
  • Planning and managing specific projects, including the Clergy Conference
  • Responsibility for the information and data strategy, including oversight of databases and acting as the Data Protection Officer
  • Overseeing diocesan policies and the complaints policy

There may be additional opportunities for role development depending on the successful candidate s skills and experience.

About You

You will have a strong track record of project management, an understanding of data protection, excellent administrative skills and experience of line management.

We are seeking a candidate who can demonstrate:

  • Previous experience of managing a team in the public or charity sector
  • The ability to manage projects which involve a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • A good understanding of data protection legislation
  • A flexible and adaptable approach with a strong customer focus

The successful candidate will also be required to support the aims and mission of the organisation.
