GVR Solutions are currently working with a well-established specialist subcontractor based in Essex. They specialise in carpentry and drylining packages on commercial, Housing and mixed-use projects. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of work, they are looking to hire an ambitious Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team with the day-to-day financial management of projects. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in construction and gain hands-on experience across drylining and carpentry works.
Responsibilites of the Graduate Quantity Surveyor:

Assist with the preparation of cost estimates and tender returns

Help with the procurement of materials and subcontractors

Support in the preparation of valuations and final accounts

Carry out site measurements and keep records up to date

Work with project managers to monitor budgets and progress

Help with variation orders and subcontractor payments

General QS admin and document control
Requirements of the Graduate Quantity Surveyor:

Graduated in Quantity Surveying or a Construction-related course (HNC/HND considered)

At least one years experience in surveying

Strong interest in construction, particularly drylining and carpentry

Good numeracy, IT, and communication skills

Reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
