The Head of Information will be responsible for managing and optimising the information flow within a large-scale infrastructure construction project, ensuring efficient use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology. This role requires a strategic leader with deep experience in construction project management, information systems, and BIM to drive data accuracy, accessibility, and utility throughout the project life cycle.
Key Responsibilities:

Information Management:
- Develop and implement information management strategies that align with project goals and organizational objectives.
- Oversee the collection, storage, and distribution of project information to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Establish standards and protocols for data management and documentation.

BIM Leadership:
- Lead the integration and application of BIM processes and tools across all construction projects.
- Ensure the BIM execution plan is effectively implemented and maintained throughout the project life cycle.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams in utilizing BIM technologies to enhance project efficiency and collaboration.

Team Management and Development:
- Manage and mentor a team of information management and BIM professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance team capabilities in information management and BIM.

Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless information flow and project coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for information-related issues and BIM implementation.
- Facilitate regular meetings to review information management and BIM progress.

Project Oversight:
- Monitor project information workflows and BIM execution to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve issues related to information management and BIM processes.
- Prepare and present regular reports on information management and BIM performance to senior management.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in information management and BIM technologies.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
- Implement best practices and new technologies to enhance project delivery and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in information management, construction project management, and BIM implementation.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, high-budget construction projects.
- Extensive knowledge of BIM software and tools (eg, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Certification in BIM (eg, Certified BIM Manager) is highly desirable.
