An exciting opportunity has arisen for a person to join a dynamic HR Team on a fixed term basis for 9 months. In this role, you will support the People Manager by advising managers on a broad spectrum of employment law matters and people-related processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Employee Engagement and/or Learning and Development, and bring a fresh perspective to enhance the overall people journey. This opportunity is ideal for somebody who is ready for a change and would like exposure to a wider cross functioning HR Team. Additionally, it offers the chance to work within a fast-paced global business, providing exposure to labour laws in the US, Germany, and Singapore.

Responsibilities of a HR Advisor include:
  • Advising managers on employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with employment law.
  • Supporting case management, including absence management and occupational health referrals.
  • Escalating concerns to the HR Manager as needed.
  • Contributing to HR metric reporting and identifying trends.
  • Supporting our recruitment processes.
  • Assisting with HR activities, including reward schemes and internal communications.
  • Assisting with the planning and delivery of Manager training.
  • Being a champion of our company values.
  • Proactively initiate and lead projects and understand how they can enhance employee satisfaction.

Requirements of a HR Advisor:
  • CIPD level 3 or 5 qualification, or equivalent experience.
  • 2- 3 year experience at HR Assistant/Advisor level.
  • Sound and up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and upcoming changes.
  • Experience coaching and training Managers, as well as providing quality advice on employee relations, i.e., absence management and disciplinary.
  • Experience of creating, implementing, and organising employee engagement initiatives within a business.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good communicator, and the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a wider team.
  • Travel to our Birmingham office on a monthly basis.
