We are on the lookout for a people professional with relevant HR business partnering experience who has a flair for effective and innovative internal communications, employee engagement and people relations. This role is a hybrid role supporting our teams with travel to our services and support centre as required.
In addition to having a strong project focus on impacting company culture through communication, a key element of this role will include working alongside your People and Culture colleagues to partner with managers across the Education division of the business and deliver effective people plans and solutions. You will provide comprehensive and pragmatic HR advice to managers and colleagues, to support and champion the team's mission to ensure every department has and delivers meaningful targets and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Support internal communications activities (including the development of Slack as our communication platform) and deliver effective and engaging communication projects and initiatives
Support in delivering a proportionate Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and Employee wellness programmes
Provide support to a full programme of engagement activities, including colleague surveys, focus groups, and evaluation activities to increase bottom-line results and employee engagement
Lead on employee relation cases and effectively manage an ER caseload (from low risk to complex and high-risk cases), conducting quarterly visits and people review within your area
Support, develop and coach education leaders in relation to their approach and consideration of people issues, ensuring that they understand the impact of these on the individual and the business, implementing formal action as required
Succession planning: select and develop key talent to ensure there are talents to fill in critical roles
Strategic workforce planning: ensure the company's workforce has the right size, shape and agility for the future
Collaborating with recruitment team colleagues on implementing innovative and inclusive recruitment strategies
Working together with all colleagues to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintain a good working environment, build morale, and decrease unwanted turnover
Support line managers with in delivering the performance management framework
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Experience in a Business Partnering role OR strong experience in a Senior HR Advisor role ready to take the next step
Experience of working with L&D to deliver a robust learning plan for operational, management and leadership colleagues
Knowledge of UK Employment Law
Highly confidential and professional in all circumstances
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to challenge and influence
Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written
Strong problem-solving skills
Curious and data driven

Experience within a social care setting with knowledge of Ofsted
