HSE Manager - South Down Based (Construction)

Your new company
Your new company specialises in the design, supply and installation of a wide variety of off-site prefabricated solutions for the commercial M&E sectors across the UK and Ireland. Through continuous investment and a commitment to profitable expansion, the company have grown vastly over the last 18 years with an annual turnover now in excess of £35m. Due to continued growth, the company are looking to integrate a HSE Manager to support the Quality Manager and oversee the HSEQ department based out of new and upgraded Head Quarters in South Down.
Your new role
Alongside the Quality Manager and reporting to senior management, you will manage all HSE requirements to colleagues across the business to ensure safe practice, H&S and environmental compliance on all sites in liaison with site teams and relevant staff. You will take ownership of HSE matters relevant to projects from outset to completion and will be responsible for identifying and preparing method statements & risk assessments (RAMS), COSHH assessments and ensuring effective communication. You will be tasked with investigating / recording incidents & accidents including any follow up actions. You will also be managing and developing a team of 7 direct reports.
You will be based primarily in head office in South Down with limited travel to sites across NI and the UK.
What you'll need to succeed
As a successful HSE Manager, you will have a previous track record working in a similar role within a construction environment in a management capacity. You'll demonstrate a working knowledge of SHEQ standards & audit procedures with a sound understanding of implementing integrated ISOs (14001, 45001 & 9001) throughout a live project. You will be professionally qualified to NEBOSH level or hold a relevant BSc Degree. As the role is within a larger team, you will be comfortable and capable leading and mentoring a number of direct reports.
