Working on behalf of our client, a chemical manufacturer based near Bradford/ Leeds, West Yorkshire, Hays Engineering is seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated HSEQ Manager to oversee the responsibility for Health, Safety, Environment and Quality across their site in West Yorkshire.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As an HSEQ Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of HSEQ within the plant. You will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, and foster a culture of safety and environmental awareness amongst all employees. You will also drive continuous improvement initiatives and projects to enhance the performance, efficiency, and quality of the chemical processes and products.
Key Accountabilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain HSEQ policies, procedures, and systemsConduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to monitor and evaluate HSEQ performance and complianceInvestigate and report any incidents, accidents, or non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actionsProvide HSEQ training, coaching, and guidance to all staff and contractorsLiaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, such as senior management, customers, suppliers, and regulatorsKeep up to date with the latest HSEQ legislation, trends, and best practices ABOUT YOU:
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and chartered status would be a distinct advantage also.Extensive experience in HSEQ management, within the chemical sector or a similar high-hazard industryNEBOSH Diploma or equivalent HSEQ qualificationKnowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standardsIn-depth knowledge of COMAH regulations and relevant HSE legislation. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesYou will have the right to work in the UK.What's in it for you?
