Job Title: Integration Architect/Manager

Reporting to: Platform Operations Manager

Location: London

Responsibilities:

• Product Manager of all Barings Integration platform components (which includes but not limited to - Azure API-M, Service Bus, Event Grid, SFTP, MoveIt, IBM Workload Scheduler, etc).
• Create and maintain process - to request, implement & onboard APIs for the organisation.
• Automate maintenance of APIs, Service Bus definitions, Event Grids, etc.
• Develop and maintain the integration strategy for Barings, ensuring that it aligns with the wider Barings EA defined Strategy.
• Work closely with the Infrastructure & Operations, Software Engineering, Enterprise Data Platform and Investment systems team to ensure that the correct decisions are made about APIs, providing guidance and technical expertise where necessary.
• Collaborate with other architects and stakeholders to design, develop, and implement integration solutions using Azure API, Service Bus, Event Grids, Azure Data Factory and Azure other integration components.
• Establish and maintain best practices and standards for integration architecture and design.
• Define and maintain an integration roadmap and architecture principles that are aligned with industry best practices
• Work closely with delivery teams to ensure that roadmap items are prioritised accurately in quarterly planning routines
• Ensure that the integration solutions are scalable, reliable, and secure.
• Promote re-use of APIs and ensure that API designs are optimised for re-use.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance around Integration Architecture and Integration principles - to developers and other team members working on Software development.
• Develop and maintain the shared observability strategy for all integration platform components.
• Work closely with the Infrastructure & Operations, Software Engineering, Enterprise Data Platform and Investment systems teams to ensure integration issues are detected and resolved in a timely and effective manner.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in integration architecture and provide recommendations for improvement based on technological advancements from time to time.
• Mentoring and developing staff assigned to integration tasks.
• Directing investigations into project technical issues, working closely with other engineering disciplines and suppliers to resolve complex development problems.
• Provide the support to multiple projects to overcome the Integration design and implementation issues.
• Partner closely with the Developer Enablement lead to develop an effective target operate model and roadmap to achieve it.
• Work closely with the Finops team to develop a TCO model for all Barings Integration Platform components.
• Partner closely with the Developer Enablement lead to ensure that API Design Standards, and access and usage policies are clearly defined and understood by API developers

Who we are looking for:

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with all business stakeholders.
• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of Well Architected Framework.
• Security infrastructure and best practice.
• Engineering/technical background with hands-on experience in architecting, designing and developing cloud solutions.
• A solid understanding of architectural patterns.
• Flexible and responsive to both people/ client needs and opportunities.
• Good at both writing and presenting solutions.
• Technical Skillset - All integration components of Microsoft Azure including Azure API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid etc.). CI/CD. Knowledge of job scheduling platforms (e.g. IBM Workload Scheduler). (Optional -) Knowledge of Terraform scripts, file transfer automation technologies
