The Opportunity:

Operating as a team-playing Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you'll seek to minimise the cost and risk of my client's construction projects and value for money, while still achieving the required legal standards and quality. This includes ensuring statutory regulations are met at all times and working with your end-clients through the full customer engagement.

Key Activities:

While duties and responsibilities will vary, they typically include:

• Preparation of estimates and costings, providing commercial expertise and contributing towards the financial delivery on various projects.
• Be pro-active in identifying the existence of all variations (changes) to the works in conjunction with other project team
• Support the team in pricing and agreeing all projects
• Submit external valuations, making sure they meet the conditions of the main contract.
• Work with the Project Manager to contribute towards the projects cash position
• Be pro-active in identifying the existence of any "claim" and "extension of time" situations in conjunction with other project team members.
• Sub-contractor procurement and pricing
• Attend site meetings regularly, prepare project reports and be involved in post contract activities.
• Support the contact management via CEMAR
• Valuation of Build Partner defects and compensation events
