Junior Database Executive Location: Oxford OX1 1XX (hybrid/remote working options available) Salary: £24,000 - £26,000, with a 6-month probationary period Contract: Full-time, Permanent, 37.5 hours per week Are you a graduate or school-leaver looking for practical experience in a business environment? Global Water Intelligence (GWI), the world s leading intelligence service on the global water industry, is looking for a Junior Database Executive to join our business at an exciting time, as we have recently transitioned to our new cloud-based CRM platform, Workbooks. As Junior Database Executive, you ll gain valuable experience in CRM database management, working closely with the mentorship of our CRM Analyst and Database Manager to ensure Workbooks is clean and maintained to a high standard of accuracy. You ll also have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with other teams to support CRM development projects, which will improve our internal processes, provide greater insight into our customers behaviour and drive new sales. On any given day, you may be working with representatives from sales, marketing, finance and order processing to accomplish shared goals. You will also have the chance to work on processing email marketing data from Spotler, our new marketing software. The introduction of Workbooks and Spotler mark an important milestone for our business: the CRM will give us much greater insight into the behaviour of our customers and their engagement with our fulfilment and marketing communications through integration with our websites and email software. Through your CRM-based projects, you will gain exposure to key business systems and processes and, over time, the role will expand to include wider areas of responsibility according your strengths. Key areas of responsibility of the Junior Database Executive will include: Ownership of regular data cleaning / maintenance for the People section of the database Supporting members of the team with other database maintenance tasks when required Overseeing service emails going out to paying customers by processing bounce and unsubscribe data, and collaborating with the sales team to ensure that all paying customers are receiving their products Supporting the database team and taking responsibility on key data projects to meet the changing functional needs of the business as it grows, and to ensure the database is optimised for the teams that use it. Working alongside the Database Manager to build your understanding of how the CRM functions, and to offer greater support in optimising the database over time. The person: We are happy to hear from bright school leavers and graduates with a positive attitude and a desire to learn, as well as candidates with some experience working in data cleaning or on databases.
