We are looking for an experienced Learning and Development (L&D) Partner to join our growing people team. You will play a pivotal role in fostering employee development at all levels within the organisation, from entry-level to senior professionals. This role involves designing, implementing, and evaluating learning strategies to support personal and professional growth, contributing significantly to the organisation's overall success. The focus is on enhancing skills, knowledge, and performance through coaching and mentorship. You'll be someone who is able to plan and coordinate L&D material and also deliver this to employees at all levels.

Our Future Health will be the UK's largest ever health research programme, bringing people together to develop new ways to detect, prevent and treat diseases. We are a charity, supported by the UK Government, in partnership with charities and industry. We work closely with the NHS and with public authorities across all nations and regions of the UK.

Our plan is to bring together 5 million volunteers from right across the UK who will be asked to contribute information to help build one of the most detailed pictures we have ever had of people's health. Researchers will be able to use this information to make new discoveries about human health and diseases. So future generations can live in good health for longer.

What you'll be doing:

As a fast-scaling organisation it's essential that you are not afraid to get stuck in, gather relevant information, and create a point of view, but be flexible enough to work within several areas and handle changes in direction or new priorities. Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Conducting analyses to assess training needs, identifying skills gaps and training requirements.
  • Creating and implementing tailored learning strategies and programmes.
  • Designing and delivering various training sessions, including workshops, seminars, training initiatives and e-learning courses.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Collaborating with the People team, Managers, and subject matter experts to address training needs.
  • Managing training budgets and utilising Learning Management Systems (LMS) effectively.
  • Focusing on developing both soft and hard skills applicable beyond current roles.
  • Implementing diverse learning methods, emphasising coaching and mentorship.
  • Continuously evaluating and adapting training programmes based on feedback and industry standards.
  • Developing and executing learning strategies.
  • Evaluating development needs at individual and organisational levels.
  • Implementing various learning methods including coaching, job-shadowing, and online training.
  • Helping managers with career pathing for team members.
  • Managing budgets and negotiating contracts.

To succeed, you will have some of the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience as an L&D Manager / Partner or similar role.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with LMS and e-learning platforms.
  • Knowledge of effective learning methods and e-learning practices.
  • Experience in project management, budgeting, and proficiency in MS Office and LMS.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation skills, and business acumen.
  • A BSc/BA in Business, Psychology, or a related field; CIPD or related professional certification
  • Experience in rapidly-scaling or transformational organisations.
  • £56,000 - £64,000 per annum basic salary.
  • Generous company pension package with employer contributions of up to 12%
