I am partnering with a well-established public sector business in the heart of Liverpool City Centre who are seeking an experienced and efficient Learning Business Partner to join their team on an interim 6-month contract.
This role is to primarily ensure the provision of timely, accurate and contemporary learning service in support of delivery of corporate priorities.
Main Responsibilities of the Learning Business Partner - 6m FTC:
Putting customers (internal & external) at the heart of everything you do in relation to Learning and Development Provide a creative approach to development work within assigned service areas utilising research tools and best practice initiatives Providing a dedicated professional Learning and Development advice and guidance service to the Organisation Being proactive and responding to the needs of customers, both internal and external, in terms of providing Learning and Development advice To identify Learning and Development needs and suitable measures/interventions to support service areas in the delivery of core services and corporate priorities Provision of Learning and Development related information, good practice and advice to internal customers Developing effective working relationships with Heads of Service, Managers/TUs Application of People and Learning and Development policies in a consistent manner and interpretation of conditions of service Supporting Heads of Service and Managers with identification of training needs for service areas Presenting training to Managers on relevant People and Learning and Development policies Provision of Learning and Development information and data to in accordance with deadlines Responding to requests for information from management and employees Support the Organisation to meet the objectives of the Corporate Plan and Service plans by advising Heads of Service, Managers, employees and trade unions on Learning and Development issues With HRD business partners support Heads of Service and managers to ensure service is aligned to deliver corporate priorities and meet and exceed targets Supporting the HRD Business Partners and the wider HRD function in the development and introduction of new initiativesEnsuring own continuous professional development in order to keep up to date with current legislation
Essential & desirable requirements of the Learning Business Partner - 6m FTC:
Essential: Working towards or commitment to work towards a Learning and Development apprenticeship Knowledge of apprenticeship levy Knowledge of Learning and Development, identifying, developing and evaluating interventions Budget management General appreciation of current employment legislation Experience of working in a customer centred role (internal or external customers) Good organisational skills, effective time management, ability to work to deadlines Presentation skills Creative Result orientated Problem solving/analytical skills Ability to take initiative Ability to maintain confidentiality Computer literate Ability to support services areas through organisational change Support organisational and cultural change programmes to drive the organisation forward Project focused to deliver key goals and objectives Communication skills - Inclusive collaborative style that builds effective relationships Knowledge of public procurement, commissioning and contract management Knowledge of NVQ programmes and quality control for accredited centres
