Maintenance Mechanical Repair Fitter
Location: Glasgow G21 4NB
Salary: Circa £32K per annum + Benefits!
Contract: Full time, Permanent, Monday Friday 7am 4pm (hours may slightly differ)

We are now recruiting for a Maintenance Repair Fitter to ensure operational capability of packaging machinery; this will be a demanding yet rewarding position which is pivotal to ensuring our continued production excellence!
In addition to this as our Maintenance Repair Fitter you will be responsible for:
- Working to business production priorities and breakdowns at sites.
- Responding to plant downtime to ensure that the plant can maximize throughout.
- Repairing and / or replacing damaged equipment.
- Fault finding and looking to resolve any problems that are shown on the company's equipment.
- Planning, scheduling, repairing and overhauling plant & equipment as required during shut-down periods.
- Completion of work permits as required and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Building and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels.
- Participating in special projects as required.
In order to be successful in this role you must have / be:
- Previous experience in a similar Fitter role within a factory.
- Flexible with a willingness to cover out of hours breakdowns if required occasionally.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to work in teams, to interact with production/maintenance colleagues and managers alike.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to take and respond to direction as required.
- Self-motivated individual who has strong customer focus and can work on one's own initiative.
It would be great if you had Relevant experience in a packaging or similar factory processing equipment but this is not essential.
