The Commercial Operations Teams at Imperial has access to 1,000 bedrooms in South Kensington and North Acton, over 100 conference/meeting venues in central London, and a premium Global Summer School hosting 500 students annually, Commercial Operations generates valuable income for Imperial to supplement its core activities.

This exciting position will provide efficient and reliable support to the Marketing Manager and will also play a key role in supporting ongoing digital development projects.

The post holder will be a motivated self-starter with an aptitude to learn all things marketing and be an integral part of the Commercial Operations team.

Duties and responsibilities

Digital and CRM

• Regularly updates listings and profiles on third-party websites
• Assist in planning and maintaining social media contact
• Support in writing, proofreading, updating and adding content to websites
• Support with email campaigns using relevant email tools
• Generating reports

Design and Content

• Support with brand development projects
• Support in designing a range of digital and printed marketing materials
• Assist in generating ideas, writing and proofreading content
• Assist in the logistical organisation of external exhibitions and trade shows
• Source branded promotional merchandise
• Organising filing and photography

Essential requirements

• Educated to at least A level standard or equivalent qualification
• Previous experience in a marketing or communications related role
• Working on multiple projects at the same time, and able to balance conflicting priorities
• Proven knowledge of communication and marketing practices for business
• Understanding of what makes good content and how to adapt content to different audiences
• Excellent communication skills and can demonstrate an ability to adapt your communication style to different audiences
• Excellent written communication and the ability to adapt the style to suit different audiences.
• Able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
• Be flexible and able to work across all Imperial campuses

Contract Details:
Salary: £35,273-£38,180
Professional Services, Grade 2b
Location: South Kensington and travel to other campuses as required
Permanent, Full-Time Position, Hybrid working
The standard working week consists of 35 hours.
