We're currently recruiting for an ME Manager to join a Main Contractor on a luxury residential project in Walthamstow (N18).
The position will begin on a freelance basis with the view to convert the contract permanently providing a successful probationary period.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a beginner or intermediate ME manager to oversee an extensive, note-worthy project from start to finish.
The client is paying between 200 - 225 day rate and the general duties will be as listed below:
Duties:
- Ensure that Subcontractors are working to their RAMS and to ensure that all works are carried out to in line with H&S legislation and best practice.
- Review & understand the M&E installation programme.
- Robust test and inspection regime and implement it.
- Ensure all quality inspections are undertaken using Snag R and uploaded to Viewpoint / Snag-R & all records are uploaded.
- Daily site walk(s) across all floor plates to ensure SHEQ measures are fit for purpose, installation progress is maintained, room inspections to ensure quality is of a good standard, to code/regulation and in line with Best Practice Guidance.
- QA inspections of all M&E Sub-contractor works and suitable monitoring/reporting using the SNAG-R tool.
- Regular progress reporting on all aspects of the M&E delivery back to the Senior Building Services Manager and respective construction project managers.
- Work with M&E sub-contractors to develop, monitor and maintain the project ITP
- Quality management of MEP installation instigating testing and inspection plans.
- Supporting our other departments with Mechanical, Electrical and relevant handover documents.
- Attend DABS meetings.
- Issue and attend TBT's.
- Monitor, maintain and report against Commissioning plan/strategy.
- Commissionability review of installed services to ensure compliance.
- Ensure apartment handover packs/apartment user manuals are in production and are being monitored/updated.
The ideal candidate will have previous M&E Manager experience, qualified to NVQ level 3 as a minimum in a Mechanical or Electrical Discipline & has a full clean UK driving license.
