Our client provide design, construction and project management services across a variety of sectors; from housing and retail, to commercial and research, and are one of the largest Passivhaus housebuilders in the UK.
We are seeking an experienced Fit-Out Site Manager with retail experience to join the team and lead the successful execution of fit-out projects. As the Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed within budget, on time, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all on-site operations during fit-out projects.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to project timelines and quality requirements.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
- Implement and enforce strict safety protocols, promoting a safe working environment for all on-site personnel.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to maintain high-quality standards throughout the project.
- Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and achievements.
- Problem-solve and address any issues that may arise during the project, ensuring swift and effective resolutions.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, safety records, and change orders.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery and future collaborations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on fit-out projects commercial or retail.prefebly worked with Tescos, co-op, M&S.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide on-site personnel effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to foster positive relationships with various stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
- Proficiency in project management software and relevant tools.
- Valid construction-related certifications or licenses would be an advantage.
- 285 per shift
- 10pm to 6am
- Sunday to Thursday
- Duration : 8 weeks plus
- CIS subject to SDC assessment
