Onshore Construction Supervisor

As an Onshore Construction Supervisor for HOW03 HVDC Onshore Substation SCOPE, the primary responsibility is to support the Onshore Substation Construction Manager in monitoring Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Quality, Progress, and Documentation on-site concerning EPC Contractor(s). The role requires active participation in various construction-related activities and the coordination of civil construction interface tasks and deliverables with the EPC Contractor.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Liaise and report to the Onshore Substation Construction Manager and affected Packagers Managers on all aspects of quality matters as required.
  • Monitor and record the quality of works in accordance with Employers/Designer Requirements, Quality Plan, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), Activity Check Sheets, recorded measurements, and project technical specifications and standards.
  • Provide input to the review of Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS), ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Inspect, witness, and verify dimensional checks and tests of infrastructures, installations, and foundations.
  • Collaborate with the Contractor to produce accurate 'red-line' final drawings representing as-built conditions of work.
  • Review design, construction, and workshop drawings, final documentation, and as-built lifetime records as required.
  • Support the Onshore Substation Construction Manager in arranging, witnessing, and/or participating in relevant meetings, First Article Inspections (FAI), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), etc.
  • Assist in the coordination, logistics, installation, and inspection of Employer/Contractor & Supplier equipment deliveries for permanent works and storage.
  • Represent construction interests and collaborate with mechanical and electrical departments in interface-reliant tasks and activities.

Requirements

  • Civil Engineer BSc with relevant project education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in construction/commissioning and quality disciplines.
  • Ideally worked in a similar role with a major Distributed Network Operator or main Energy Network Provider.
  • Technical strength, adaptability, teamwork, strong communication abilities, and proficiency in both written and verbal English.
  • Recommended international and intercultural supervision experience.
  • Strong ability to coordinate interfaces with other stakeholders.
  • Possesses a high HSE mindset and awareness, prioritizing safety in all tasks.
